If you’ve ever thought about how nice it would be to own your own business, work from home, or simly earn enough money to pay the bills without getting diarrhea, you’re in the right place.
Welcome to A Girl’s Gotta Eat, where you’ll find helpful content about thinking beyond the 9-5 box and finding new ways to participate in this oppressive capitalist game we’ve all been forced to play to stay alive.
I started this website to show that in the internet age, it’s more possible than ever to choose to hire yourself and create the job you’ve always wanted. You don’t have to feel like your life is doomed to office culture and spreadsheets and labeling your lunch so Ted from accounting doesn’t eat it while you’re stuck in a meeting.
If you have access to the internet, one marketable product or skill, and the desire to sell it, you have the power to change the way you make money and live. My mission is to help you figure out what that is and how to get there without joining a pyramid scheme or paying $2,999 for a manifestation course.
Not sure where to start? Here are some of the most popular posts:
How to Start a Freelance Writing Career (Based on What I Wish I Knew 10 Years Ago) – This is the blog post I wish I had stumbled upon a decade ago when I first started working as a freelance writer.
How to Make and Sell Digital Products on Etsy – One of my main sources of (mostly passive) income is my digital product shop on Etsy. This post goes over exactly how I started my shop and what you need to know to get yours going as well.
How to Start a Print-On-Demand Store – This post goes over how I added t-shirts, mugs, bags, posters, and other physical products to my digital shop, without ever having to store inventory or mail anything. I consider this the perfect starter business because anyone can learn how to do it and the ancillary skills you’ll pick up are valuable for selling anything online.
Side Hustle Ideas to Recession-Proof Your Life – If you’re new to the world of online business, side hustles are the best place to start. This list includes some of my favorite gigs that you can do in your spare time, and several of them can be scaled into full-time businesses if that’s what you want.
